Subject: A Proposal for Venturing into the Tourism Business

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am Ikku from Nepal. I am writing this letter to kindly inform you of the prospects of the tourism industry in my local area. I would also like to request, as the manager of a reputed company, that you invest in promoting it as one of the tourist centers. Just a tiny investment and effort from you and your company can bring a huge change in the popularity and publicity of my local area, resulting in a further step in your business as well. The following paragraphs describe the place and why it is significant for investment.

As we all know, Nepal is a South Asian country with diverse culture, various languages, and traditions, etc., where a huge number of tourists visit every year. There are many beautiful places with the local flavor of their own traditional food, culture, language, etc. that can attract tourists. Among them is my hometown, which has the potential to grow the tourism industry.

Khairekot, the area that I am going to talk about here, lies in western Nepal. It can be reached via bus from Pokhara. It is a beautiful place, mostly with mountains from which people can see the beautiful scenery of the Himalayan ranges. Furthermore, it is home to the Gurung ethnic group. They have a distinct culture, tradition, language, and so on that can serve as key attractions for tourists. However, it is deserted due to a lack of publicity. If you are interested in knowing about and carrying out research on various cultures, languages, and religions, you can find this a potential place. Furthermore, this location is historically significant because it was the residence of a local king during a time when Nepal was divided into many small states. In addition, it has many temples and the remains of houses where the then-king used to live. However, visitors hardly find basic facilities there, as this place lacks a proper water supply and hotels or restaurants. If the basic facilities are available and publicity is done, this has the potential to be a profitable tourism business. Therefore, I would humbly like to request that you put in your little effort and let it be known all over the world. For your information, I would also like you to pay a visit to this location once.

I am hopeful that you will discover that this location has tourism potential, and as the head of the organization, you will help us develop it as one of the tourist destinations.

I am looking forward to hearing a positive response.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

………………

Kumar Thapa
